Dragon Ferti ran a greenhouse field trial in the Jordan Valley, Jordan, to evaluate Dragon Flowering 6% N + 36% P₂O₅ + 16% K₂O (w/v) during the flowering and fruit-set stages.
The trial measured the effect of Dragon Flowering on flower retention, fruit set, fruit development and marketable yield under commercial greenhouse conditions.
Trial setup
- Location: Jordan Valley, Jordan
- Cultivation: Plastic greenhouse
- Application method: Foliar spray
- Treatment: Farmer’s standard program + Dragon Flowering
- Control: Farmer’s standard fertilization program
- Suggested dose: 1.5 L per 1,000 L of water
Application program
Dragon Flowering was applied three times between flowering and fruit set:
- First application at the beginning of flowering
- Second application 7 days after the first
- Third application 7 days after the second
Results
Compared with the control, the treatment showed clear improvements in several reproductive and yield parameters.
| Parameter | Control | Dragon Flowering | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flowers per plant | 14.1 | 16.6 | +17.7% |
| Flower clusters per plant | 3.89 | 4.10 | +5.4% |
| Start of flowering | 6.8 days earlier | ||
| Start of fruit set | 6.5 days earlier | ||
| Marketable fruits per plant | About +38% | ||
| Marketable share of yield | 55% | 82% | +27 percentage points |
| Marketable yield, Field 1 | 102.8 t/ha | 119.4 t/ha | +16.1% |
| Marketable yield, Field 2 | 120.8 t/ha | 129.1 t/ha | +6.8% |
| Average fruit weight | 76.5 g | 79.4 g | +3.8% |
Conclusion
Under the reported greenhouse trial conditions, Dragon Flowering supported earlier flowering, earlier fruit set, more flowers, more marketable fruits and higher marketable yield.
The results show the potential of Dragon Flowering as a specialized nutritional solution for crops during the critical flowering and fruit-set stages.
